Symptoms
Knocking, automatic derating, uneven exhaust temperatures.
Probable causes
- Incorrect gas quality or pressure
- Faulty spark plugs or coils
- Incorrect ignition timing
- Faulty knock sensors
Solution
Analyse the gas (methane number), check spark plugs and coils, calibrate the ignition timing and test the knock sensors. Check the air/gas ratio.
