Symptoms
No or weak tell-tale stream, overtemperature alarm, engine in protection mode.
Probable causes
- Worn or broken water pump impeller
- Blocked water intake (weed/salt)
- Stuck thermostat
- Clogged tell-tale outlet
Solution
Replace the impeller and its gasket, clean the water intakes and the tell-tale outlet with a thin wire, and check the thermostat. Run in the new impeller and never run it dry.
