Symptoms

Probable causes
- Cracked U-joint or exhaust bellows
- Loose clamps
- Worn drive oil seal
Solution
Replace the bellows (U-joint, exhaust, shift cable), the clamps and the drive oil seals; check the U-joint cross and bearings. Refit with correct alignment and test for leaks.
